Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. This role will require frequent travel to customer sites.
The Director of Fleet Operations will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing the company’s robot deployment & operations across all customers. This includes designing and executing strategies to support new market expansion, robot commercial operations, meeting customer expectations, robot software validation, and overall making sure we have enough useful robots in the physical world..
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational planning, execution, and optimization of Figure’s humanoid operations across all commercial customers
- Responsibility will include ensuring Figure has enough robots in market at customer sites, setting up maintenance and checkout programs, fleet management, fleet response, logistics and supplies, and training programs for new hires
- Ensure the right number of robots deployed, at the right time to meet demand, and at the right cost to meet Figure’s business objectives
- Lead on-site data collection efforts which involves collecting and analyzing data from our fleet of autonomous robots to improve our software and hardware performance
- Ensuring that we meet and exceed customer performance expectations, safety requirements, and profitability targets
- Build and execute a platform to deploy into new use cases and new markets
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to hire and scale a team
- Minimum of 5 years of fleet operational experience
- Experience with transitioning products from design, pilot, to commercialization
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites
- Strong knowledge of fleet management and optimization
