About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Specialist to join our team. The Logistics Specialist will manage and optimize the flow of goods, services, and information throughout the supply chain to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role involves coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory levels, collaborating with vendors, and troubleshooting logistics challenges.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work with carriers and freight forwarders to negotiate rates and secure transportation.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and invoices.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock counts and efficient storage.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Evaluate vendor performance to ensure quality and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Analyze supply chain processes and recommend improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, costs, and order accuracy.
- Address and resolve issues related to transportation delays, damaged goods, or customer complaints.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external logistics inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CILT) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., Oracle Netsuite or WMS).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000-$90,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
