About the Role:
As an Account Executive, Payor, you will drive new business and build strong partnerships with national and regional health payers. This role involves managing complex sales cycles, closing high-impact deals, and fostering relationships with health insurance providers and healthcare systems. We’re seeking a results-driven, self-motivated professional with a proven track record in payer sales who is ready to thrive in a fast-paced, independent role while collaborating with internal teams to deliver value to clients.
Responsibilities:
Drive new sales with target payer accounts by developing strategies that generate top-of-funnel activity and efficiently move prospects through the sales funnel to close.
Leverage deep expertise in healthcare and payer sales to establish and grow relationships with health insurance providers, payer organizations, and healthcare systems.
Navigate complex sales cycles within healthcare payer organizations, managing multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align goals and deliver exceptional value to clients.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
Minimum 5 years of direct health plan sales experience with a proven track record of success.
Experience working with both national and regional payers, with a preference for experience with Blues plans.
Strong expertise in complex contract negotiations.
Ability to work independently and self-manage while driving results.
Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Confidence in public speaking, with a willingness to present in front of large audiences as needed.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings, conferences, and industry events
Nice-to-Have:
Established relationships within the healthcare payer ecosystem.
Experience navigating sales processes within complex healthcare systems.
Familiarity with digital health solutions and innovative healthcare technologies.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to payer contracting.
